Whitefish Salad
Flaky smoked whitefish with a light mayonnaise dressing, finished with crisp red onion.

Start with 1 Sesame bagel (about 125 g each).
From bottom to top
- BaseSesame — bottom half
- 01Whitefish saladabout 100 g
- 80 g Ready-to-eat smoked whitefish, skin and bones removed
- 10 g Commercial mayonnaise
- 10 g Celery, finely diced
- 1/2 tsp (2.5 ml) Lemon juice
- 02Red onion, very thinly sliced10 g
- TopSesame — top half
Before you start
- Inspect the smoked whitefish carefully and remove every bone and all skin. Flake into a bowl.
- Fold in the mayonnaise, celery and lemon juice until just combined. Keep the fish flakes visible.
Make it
- Split one sesame bagel horizontally.
- Spoon all the whitefish salad evenly onto the bottom half.
- Add the thin red onion, close with the top half and serve.
At the counter
Assemble just before eating. Keep perishable fillings refrigerated and follow their package storage instructions.
